We won 2 ERASMUS-EDU projects – EduFlex and INSPIRE!
Our students will be able to participate in and receive certificates of completion for 3 microcredit courses, which will be recognized as a result of their participation in the virtual mobility program. This will enable them to re-enroll in certain disciplines, as well as find friends in Europe, communicate, and deepen their English skills!
The EduFlex project aims to modernise Ukrainian higher education by introducing a scalable system of personalised and modular learning supported by digital infrastructure. EduFlex takes a student-centred approach, empowering students to create individual and interdisciplinary academic pathways in line with their career goals and labour market requirements. By integrating micro-credentials, digital badges and mobility opportunities, the project promotes modular learning, enabling students to accumulate and transfer knowledge seamlessly across institutions and countries. The project focuses on learning outcomes and competency frameworks, as well as the inclusion of employer-validated skills in curricula. EduFlex will provide Ukrainian universities with the tools to meet the diverse needs of learners, particularly migrant students, people with disabilities and war veterans in need of retraining. By developing cooperation with European partners, the project will ensure the implementation of international standards and best practices. The project is fully aligned with the principles and priorities of the European Learning Model, supports post-war reconstruction, promotes digital transformation and is in line with the Global Gateway strategy, contributing to the development of sustainable, inclusive and high-performing education systems and Ukraine’s integration into the European education area. The developed institutional policies and frameworks for individual learning pathways, interdisciplinary opportunities and micro-credentials will be used by Ukrainian universities outside the consortium and further underpin university operations.
The INSPIRE project’s primary goal is to establish a robust institutional accreditation framework for Ukraine’s higher education system, promoting quality, continuous improvement, and alignment with European standards — even under instability. This involves streamlining procedures, reducing administrative burdens, mitigating corruption risks, and enhancing faculty and student motivation through clear guidelines, standards, evaluation protocols, and self-evaluation report templates. Capacity building is central: professional development programmes will equip higher education institutions and National Quality Assurance Bodies with the skills to manage accreditation effectively, embedding these practices within institutional strategies. Post-accreditation monitoring ensures sustainability and encourages ongoing refinement. By identifying institutions that meet high standards and prompting mergers or reforms where needed, the project optimises Ukraine’s higher education landscape, improves resource use, and boosts responsiveness to national and international needs. These reforms not only support strategic development goals but also significantly contribute to Ukraine’s post-war economic recovery, fostering innovation and collaboration. Over four years, Ukrainian HEIs, European partners, and stakeholders will collaborate to implement these measures, resulting in a more agile, transparent, and future-oriented higher education system.
