On the occasion of World Health Day, CITAR Department held a seminar for scientific and pedagogical workers on the topic “Mental health of NURE employees under martial law. Signs of stress and methods of overcoming it”.

This event was held within the framework of the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals:
– SDG 3 Good Health and Well-being, which is to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages;
– SDG 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth;
– SDG 16 Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.

World Health Day is celebrated every year on April 7, starting in 1950, and aims to emphasize the importance of maintaining and strengthening physical and mental health, engaging the population in timely diagnosis and prevention of diseases, etc.

Interestingly, according to research, health depends on many factors, but more than 50% of it is determined by a person’s lifestyle, about 40% by social and natural living conditions, and only 10% is heredity.

We all understand that in the conditions of martial law in Ukraine, unfortunately, there are a large number of factors that can lead to stress, and if measures are not taken in time to improve well-being, it can become chronic and lead to many serious diseases already at the physical level. Therefore, this is the topic that was chosen for the celebration of World Health Day and highlighted for colleagues by Associate Professor of the CITAR Department, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Master of Psychology Iryna Zharikova.

Take care of yourself and take care of your health and that of your loved ones in a timely manner.
And we wish everyone as little stress as possible!
