The “BookLove” Initiative at NURE: Fostering a Culture of Reading and Supporting Quality Education (UN Sustainable Development Goal 4: “Quality Education”)

The Scientific Library of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (NURE) continues to implement the “BookLove” initiative, which aims to expand the library collection, promote reading, and foster a culture of book donation within the university community.

Iryna Zharikova, the University’s Scientific Secretary, Technical Secretary of the Scientific and Technical Council, Associate Professor at the Department of Computer-Integrated Technologies, Automation, Robotics, and Safety Engineering (CITARSE), and Candidate of Technical Sciences, has made a significant contribution to the library collection by donating valuable publications from her personal collection.

These donated books will serve as an accessible intellectual resource for NURE students, PhD candidates, faculty members, and researchers. They will help broaden professional horizons, deepen knowledge, and enhance the research potential of the university community.

The “BookLove” initiative exemplifies academic solidarity, a responsible commitment to preserving and disseminating knowledge, and support for the educational and scientific environment.

This initiative aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal 4, “Quality Education”, specifically the objective of ensuring equal access to quality education and lifelong learning opportunities. Expanding the library collection improves access to educational and scientific resources, cultivates a culture of reading, and creates conditions for continuous professional development.

NURE expresses its sincere gratitude to Iryna Zharikova for her generous gift, her personal contribution to the development of the university library, and her support for shared educational and scientific values.

“BookLove” is more than just donating books. This is an investment in knowledge, education, and the future!
