Our teachers visited the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant!

Nuclear energy is an important sub-sector of global energy, which began to make a significant contribution to global electricity generation several decades ago. The cost price of electricity produced by nuclear power plants today allows us to speak about serious competition from their side to other types of power plants. The obvious advantage of a nuclear power plant is the absence of aerosol and greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere.

October 20-21, 2021 representatives of NURE, dean of the faculty of ACT prof. Filipenko O., prof. of CITAM department Tsymbal O., and Romashov Y., and assoc. prof. Allakhveranov R. visited the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant (ZNPP), located in the city of Energodar, Zaporozhye region.

During the visit, the representatives of NURE got acquainted with the work and equipment of the simulator complex for special training of the repair personnel of the State Enterprise “NAEK Energoatom”, got acquainted with the work of the heat automation and measurement department of ZNPP, and other equipment.

Particular attention was paid to the issues of the operation of the automated process control system, automated technical equipment, and the safety of functioning of the nuclear components of ZNPP.

During the visit to the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, representatives of NURE made a presentation to ZNPP employees with presentations of educational programs of the specialty ACIT of the Faculty of Automation and Computerized Technologies.

From the side of the management of the training complex for special training and the management of the workshop of the Central Administrative Department, a wish was expressed to establish cooperation between NURE and ZNPP in the training and retraining of specialists in accordance with the agreed training programs and plans.
