NURE students contribute to the green transformation of Ukrainian universities (CSR 17 Partnership for sustainable development; 4 Quality education; 12 Responsible consumption.)

From September 16 to 21, 2024, as part of the implementation by the Department of Computer-Integrated Technologies, Automation and Robotics – KITAR (Faculty of ICT) of the international project Education for Green Transitions GTUA-EDU NAWA2024, financed by the Polish Agency for Academic Exchanges NAWA (project coordinator Prof. . Oleksandr FILIPENKO), 6 students of the ICT faculty (Svitlana BEDENKO, Valeriya HRYZHAK, Anna OMELYANENKO, Anastasia SOLYANIK, Anna SHEVCHENKO) took part in the international training program “2nd Summer School Green Transition for Ukrainian students” at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (WroclawTech), Republic of Poland. The training program included a series of seminars, the topics of which covered important areas of activity aimed at mastering the competencies of future specialists to ensure opportunities for sustainable development:

 

– Design Thinking for Innovation in 21st Century;

– Sustainable Design;

– Green Business Models;

– Green Project Management;

– Smart Cities: Urban Planning, Management & Technologies;

– Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) as a Part of Digital and Green Transformation of Production;

– Methodology for Counting the Carbon Footprint;

– Green vehicles and their infrastructure;

– BLUE-GREEN infrastructure as a climate change mitigation measure in the city;

– ESG in company communication strategies, Creation of ESG communication strategy;

– Environmental cost accounting;

– Blue Economy Entrepreneurship;

– Design as a new concept of sustainable development.

 

The certificates received by the students upon completion of the educational program are evidence of the acquired program learning results and can be recognized as the results of non-formal education, and the competences formed will contribute to their professional qualification and employment upon graduation from the university.
