Innovative projects of young scientists from the CITAR department are among the winners of the UNESCO international competition (SDG 4, SDG 7, SDG 8, SDG 12, SDG 17)
According to the results of the prestigious international UNESCO competition «2024 Future Designer International Innovation Design Awards & Science for SDGs Innovation Contest» the following innovative projects of the CITAR department received prizes:
– silver award – project “Remote accounting and control system water consumption” by postgraduate student of the department CITAR SLYUSAR Andriy, scientific supervisor of the project – associate professor of the department CITAR KHRUSTALIOVA Sofia;
– bronze award – project “Beam-robot on solar panels” by Kateryna STETSENKO, student of the department CITAR, scientific supervisor prof. dept. CITAR EVSEEV Vladislav.
In 2024, UNESCO received over 2,000 applications from more than 60 countries, among which the projects of young scientists from NURE won among the best 50 projects included in the short-list, including 5 gold, 8 silver, 12 bronze and 25 nomination awards for innovative approaches to solving pressing global challenges.
The main focus of the competition is to support and raise awareness of the importance of science in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals to ensure a safe and prosperous future..
The winners will receive a certificate jointly issued by UNESCO and the International Innovation Design Awards. The winners will be published on the UNESCO website. Their projects will be featured as key promotional materials within the IDSSD activities..
