The Department of Technology and production of radio-electronic devices was founded in 1971.
In 1991 it was renamed to the department of Technology and Automation of Radio Electronic and Computing devices Production (ТАPR).
According to decision of University Academic Council (record № 700 dated 05.12.2016) the TAPR department was renamed to the Department of Computer-Integrated Technologies, Automation and Mechatronics.
CITAM department provides educational process for three levels of high education:
Bachelor level:

Specialty 172 – Telecommunication and Radio Techniques.
Specialization «Intellectual technologies for micro-system radio-electronic devices».
PhD level:
Specialty 151 – Automation and computer-integrated technologies.
Specialty 171 – Electronics.
The scientific area of department is in the development and introduction of progressive information, resource-saving and environmentally safe technologies. The department became the base and founder of actively functioning student’s engineering and technological bureau on Robotics and Mechatronics, which has created a number of experimental samples of mobile robots, presented at national and international exhibitions and events.
Also department is a base for Problem Laboratory «Micro-electrical-mechanical and micro-optical-mechanical systems» with basic tasks of research and design in fields of MEMS and MOEMS components production, which are implemented for scientific and educational activity of department.
