According to the results of the members selection competition to the industry expert councils of the National Agency for the Quality Assurance of Higher Education, the head of the industry expert council (IEC) in the field of knowledge 15 Automation and Instrumentation appointed Dean of the ACT Faculty Alexander Filipenko..
The main objective of the IEC is to bring together representatives of the academic community and stakeholders (employers and students) in the relevant field.
IEC will work as original “centers of expertise” that will provide the National Agency with expert advice on issues related to the relevant industry.
The main function of the IEC will be: preparation of expert opinions on the possibility of accrediting the educational program and submit it to the National Agency for consideration; preparation of proposals to improve the requirements for the quality assurance system of higher education, criteria for assessing the quality of educational programs and educational activities of higher education institutions; participation in the harmonization of higher education standards, formulate proposals for improving higher education standards in the relevant field of knowledge and submit them to the Scientific and Methodological Council of the central executive authority in the field of education and science; ensuring the interaction of the National Agency with representatives of higher educational institutions, organizations and associations of employers, professional associations, the national student association, other stakeholders on issues within their competence; participation in research on the quality of higher education and educational activities; development of recommendations for higher education institutions to improve the quality of educational programs within the relevant industries, etc.
