An Open Day was held at NURE

An Open Day was held at NURE, in which the CITARSE Department took an active part. The event was a great opportunity for future applicants to get to know more about modern technologies, educational opportunities and practical areas of training of the Department. During the interactive session “Computer Vision of Robots”, conducted by Assoc. Prof. Bronnikov A.I., visitors watched the work of the Kuzia robot. The participants of the event saw how the robot recognizes faces and gestures using computer vision technologies, as well as how it can be controlled using movements.

No less exciting was the interactive “Space Battle on a Laser Machine”, conducted by Assoc. Prof. Nikitin D.O. Participants had the opportunity to try themselves as laser engraver operators: using G-codes, they had to “knock down” as many “spaceship” chips as possible. This format combined training, technical creativity and real team excitement. The participation of the CITARSE department in the Open Day once again confirmed its desire to combine modern education, innovative technologies and practical training of students. The event left a vivid impression on schoolchildren and their parents and helped future entrants take another step towards choosing their profession.
