A little motivation for dear future students and scientists!
Hello friends! With this post, we will start a whole cycle of publications about the work of our department, what you can do in the future and why you should choose our specialties 🙂
We are the Department of Computer-Integrated Technologies, Automation and Mechatronics! You can read more about our history in more detail here !
Well, let’s start with a short introduction! When choosing the place of your further education, each of you is faced with similar questions, which are the most important:
- Why you need to choose this profession for training?
- Why you need to choose this profession / education program?
- Why exactly you should get this budget place and how many of them are on specialties?
- What is the unique experience of the teachers of the department?
- How you can use the knowledge gained during training?
And it is very right that you ask yourself such questions!
Why you need to choose NURE? I think this question should not arise, because our university is one of the leaders in Ukraine. KNURE has been and is the best technical university for a large number of years and its popularity is growing every year. The same applies to world rankings – every year our university rises, although not by much, in the international ranking of universities. Regarding our country, some specialties of NURE are the most popular in Ukraine in terms of the number of applicants and the level of their training in the future.
Why you need to choose specialties and educational programs CITAM department, Faculty of Automation and Computerized Technologies? It’s a little more complicated here! All, or almost all of you go to university to become a programmer 🙂
Don’t worry, our specialties and educational programs include sooooo many software disciplines. Our students study high-level programming languages (C ++, C #, Python, Java, etc.) and for a very, very long time!
But, we live in the modern world, therefore, knowledge of programming is no longer so strong anyone can be surprised, besides, we live in the era of Industry 4.0 – in the era of development of information and communication technologies, automation and robotization of production processes. The characteristic features of Industry 4.0 are fully automated production facilities, where all processes are managed in real time and taking into account changing external conditions. Cyber-physical systems create virtual copies of objects in the physical world, control physical processes and make decentralized decisions. They are able to integrate into one network, interact in real time, self-adjust and self-learn. Internet technologies play an important role, providing communication between personnel and machines. Enterprises manufacture products in accordance with the requirements of an individual customer, optimizing production costs.
All these concepts make up a mechatronic system (no, this is not mechanics, but mechatronics) – it consists not only of the software part. but also from the system itself that can be controlled (that is, a real device).
Don’t worry, no one will force you to make real devices if you don’t want to. But you have no idea what it feels like when something that you do with your own hands starts to move, or perform programmed actions – this is great, because you feel like Dr. Frankenstein who shouts “It’s alive! Lives!”)

Why exactly you should get this budgetary place and how many of them are there in specialties? These questions always bother you and your parents! When entering the university, remember – if you want to enter, then join! If you want to be a student, you will! We must not be afraid to go forward and everything will be fine with you! The specialty and educational programs of our faculty and department are the most popular in Ukraine, therefore, it is we who are allocated the most places for a specialty throughout Ukraine! There are now about 70 budget places for all our educational programs (55 for ACIT and SE, 15 for TRITRED)! Therefore, welcome to our budget and wish you success in your admission!
What is the unique experience of the teachers of the department? Here we have something to surprise you! Only experienced teachers and scientists work at our department!
Our head of the department is an academician, a member of the academic council, a member of the educational and methodological council, a member of the educational and technical council, a member of the editorial board of the journal “Modern state of scientific research and technologies in industry”, Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor, member of the NURE Alumni Association!
Our dean is a professor, a member of the educational and methodological council, a member of the educational and technical council, deputy chairman of the dissertation council, a member of the Coordinating Council of the NURE Alumni Association, a doctor of technical sciences!
Our colleagues annually receive the title of the best teacher in Kharkov! Our partners are recognized all over the world!
It should also be noted that we have teachers of all ages – we have a fairly young team! But we are all one big family and we treat each other and our students with understanding! So don’t hesitate and join us!
How you can use the knowledge gained during training?
And this is an interesting question! Almost all of our students and graduates work in the IT field – in the most popular companies in Kharkov: EPAM, NIX, Global Logic, Plarium, Sigma and much more. There they hold high-paying positions – many Middle and Senior developers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, system administrators, and much more! Also, the guys work at modern instrument-making enterprises in the automation departments, where they also hold high positions with a high salary!
Another of the advantages of studying on our educational programs is that our students have the opportunity to work and work from the 2nd year! And by the time they receive their diplomas, they already have quite a lot of experience! More on all of this in future posts! 🙂
